Gainesville, VA. – – The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry and Boxes of Basics, two local Prince William County based nonprofits, have teamed together to jointly help those in need in our community.
In mid-June, Boxes of Basics will provide over 100 boxes to our clients’ children — the summer wardrobe includes everyday and play outfits, a dress-up outfit, underwear, socks, shoes, pajamas, a dental hygiene kit, and an age-appropriate book. “We could not be happier to partner with this outstanding organization to help our clients,” says HRFP Executive Director, Eileen F. Smith.
Boxes of Basics works with local charity, government, and religious organizations to identify and serve those in need. Households facing food insecurity are also struggling to meet other household needs, including clothing their children. By referring our enrolled food pantry clients to Boxes of Basics, the HRFP is able to make sure parents feel more secure in their ability to clothe their children in addition to helping them feed their families.
Sarah Tyndall, Founder of Boxes of Basics, says: “We are incredibly thankful to partner with the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry to reach more children in need. We hope to continue this partnership and refer clients for seasons of clothing.”
