It takes more than 250 Volunteers per week to support our mission. We invite you to become a member of Team H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Eat.
Volunteers are vital to the success of the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry’s efforts to help people in our community who need food assistance. We are grateful for the many individuals, families, and corporate and community groups who share their time and talents by volunteering at the food pantry in a variety of capacities.
Let’s Get Started
Step 1: How Would You Like to Help?
Volunteers support our mission of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) in many ways. Review our volunteer opportunities and let us know which area(s) you would like to support.
Step 2: Review Our FAQs
Our Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions page addresses many of the questions that we receive from new volunteers. Review this handy list for more information about our programs.
Step 3: Are You Ready to Volunteer?
If you have an interest in volunteering on a regular basis at the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry, please do the following:
- Complete the HRFP Volunteer Online Application (click to open application). If you have ALREADY competed an application, contact our Volunteer Coordinator: Laura.
- Attend Our Orientation/Training Session. All new volunteers are required to attend an orientation and training session (currently conducted via Zoom) prior to volunteering (some roles may require specialized training in addition to the orientation training). Space in our training sessions is limited to those who have submitted a volunteer application and been invited by our Volunteer Coordinator. Please confirm your spot, and date and time of the training session with our Volunteer Coordinator.
We truly treasure all of our volunteers for sharing their gift of time.
