Volunteers contribute more than 100 hours per week to support our mission. We invite you to become a member of Team H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Eat.
Volunteers are vital to the success of the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry’s efforts to help people in our community who need food assistance. We are grateful for the many individuals, families, and corporate and community groups who share their time and talents by volunteering at the food pantry in a variety of capacities.
Let’s Get Started
Step 1: How Would You Like to Help?
Volunteers support our mission of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) in many ways. Review our volunteer opportunities and let us know which area(s) you would like to support.
Step 2: Review Our FAQs
Our Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions page addresses many of the questions that we receive from new volunteers. Review this handy list for more information about our programs.
Step 3: Are You Ready to Volunteer?
If you have an interest in volunteering on a regular basis at the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry, please do the following:
- Complete the HRFP Volunteer Application or contact our Volunteer Coordinator Laura.
- Attend a training class. The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry provides training each month, typically on the third Saturday of each month beginning at 12:30 p.m. Time/day subject to change. Also, space in our training sessions is limited and available only to those who have completed and submitted a volunteer application. Please confirm your spot, and date and time of the training session with our Volunteer Coordinator.
We truly treasure all of our volunteers for sharing their gifts of time. One look at our 2017 Volunteer Hours Infographic will assure you that your time will be well spent.
