HRFP Heroes Honored By Gainesville/Haymarket Rotary Club

For over ten years each, Kim Golub and Cindy McCormick have been valuable members of the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry executive leadership team, as well as volunteers, dedicated to feeding our neighbors. Kim serves as our Marketing, Reporting, and Technology Coordinator, and Cindy serves as our Inventory and Receiving Coordinator. They have both served admirably for the Haymarket community, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. This summer, both team members were nominated for recognition from the Gainesville/Haymarket Rotary Club as part of its annual “Flags for Heroes” celebration, hosted at Haymarket Town Park.

"At the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry we are fortunate to have hundreds of individuals who volunteer with us to feed our neighbors so nominating only two individuals was difficult in and of itself. However, there are two individuals who consistently assist and have assisted us for over a decade and on a daily basis - Cindy and Kim," said HRFP Executive Director Eileen Smith. "Cindy is at the pantry every weekday morning directing the volunteers on incoming food placement and set up for the day's distribution - her energy and leadership are tireless. Kim is behind the scenes directing the administrative team, shoring up our Salesforce instance with which the board utilizes daily for trends and purchases and is critical to our processes as well as leading our marketing/donor efforts - her support is critical to the business."

From June 14th to 17th, the town of Haymarket gathered to celebrate extraordinary individuals who have gone above and beyond within their community, and now both Kim and Cindy have joined the field of flags for their dedicated service to Haymarket and its people. To say that we at the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry are proud for them is an understatement! Thank you to all who came out to support, and we hope to continue serving the Haymarket Community as Kim and Cindy have.
